Regional Academy hosted record numbers for January School Holiday Camps with 206 participants.

With over 160 basketballers aged between 8 and 14 years old, Slam Dunk Holiday Camp-ers got to enjoy daily skill work of defence, dribbling, passing and shooting, in a fun environment.

While Intro To Basketball Holiday Camp-ers were introduced to basketball in fun games and activities to over 40 children aged 5 to 10 years old.

Frankston Basketball Programs Coordinator, Jarryd Moss couldn’t of been happier at the end of the two week period. “It’s great to see so many young children wanting to get active over the school holiday break.”

“We were fortunate to get two WNBL players in Steph Reid and Saraid Taylor involved leading camps almost everyday. They were supported by talented Frankston Blues Youth League players, who were all great with the kids.”

“All the coaches had previously been to camps like this before as children themselves and its great to see them give back their time to local basketball community”

Regional Academy hopes everyone that came to our holiday camps had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Registrations are now open for Term 1 2019 Regional Academy’s Grassroots and Domestic Programs, including the new nation-wide program Aussie Hoops.
